PB-4A & 5A Model Saddle Type Turret Lathe
Vantage is proud to introduce the only Warner & Swasey style dual carriage manual saddle type turret lathe that allows unparalleled deep boring capabilities in its class. The machine features a wide spread front carriage with a large square 4-way tool post for OD turning applications and a rear cross sliding hydraulic hex turret with massive steel design accepting up to 6” boring bars thru the tool drum. The front carriage can also be provided with cpmpound slide as an option. The base machine comes in two sizes, one with 45” swing and 9” spindle bore and is larger than a Warner & Swasey 4A turret lathe, and one with 50” swing and 12.5” spindle bore that is bigger than the popular Warner & Swasey 5A model. On special request, these saddle type turet lathes can also be built with 6″ to 30″ spindle bores, with 35″ to 100″ swing capacity and with center distances up to 40″.
