Vantage Machine Tools imports and markets high precision oilfield lathes from its Taiwan factory since 1984. The state-of-the-art facility employs 10 design engineers and 80 highly qualified craftsmen. Monthly 15 large lathes are produced in the 120,000 sqft modern facility.
Vantage is specialized in large, heavy duty manual and CNC lathes, which feature TIMKEN taper roller bearings in headstocks, linear scales and FANUC or FAGOR controls.
Manual Lathes
Marathon offers heavy duty Vantage manual lathes with 22” to 47.5” wide cast bed, 35”-100” swing over bed, 60” to 550” center distance, 6” to 30” spindle bore sizes, front & rear manual 4-jaw chucks, optional YASKAWA variable speed spindle drive, constant surface speed, semi-auto turning & threading cycle with air kick-out, hydraulic taper turning attachment, different steady rests and roller supports for heavy parts.
CNC Lathes
Marathon offers Vantage heavy duty CNC flat bed or 45-60° slant bed turning centers with box way bed construction for large part turning applications. Machines feature 4-range geared headstock and Timken taper roller spindle bearings. 35”-100” swing over bed capacity, up to 480” center distance and 6”-30” spindle bore. The machines are available with front or rear manual or power chucks, programmable tailstock, hydraulic steady rests, live tool turret with C-axis.
